One Health: Connecting Human, Animal & Environmental Health!
The concept of "One Health" has emerged as a critical framework in understanding and addressing the intricate and interdependent relationships between human health, animal health, and the health of ecosystems . This integrated, unifying approach acknowledges that the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment. In recent decades, globalization, urbanization, climate change, deforestation, and increased human-animal interactions have heightened the risk of zoonotic diseases—diseases that can be transmitted between ecosystems animals and humans.
